The Only Reasonable Response

God doesn't just want something from us...He wants us! In Romans 12:1-2, Paul describes the only reasonable response to God's mercy as offering ourselvs back to God as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to him. By doing this, Paul connects our adoration of God with our actual behavior. Being a "living sacrifice" means getting on God's page - joining in with God's story or rescuing humanity.
