Under the supervision of the Pastor of Children’s Ministry, the Children’s Ministry Events Coordinator is responsible for the planning and running of Children’s Ministry events at Summit Drive Church.

  • Plan and run Children’s Ministry special events (including VBS, Summer camps, Christmas concert, Easter Event, Church Camp, etc.).
  • Recruit, develop, and lead volunteer teams to help with special events for children at Summit Drive Church.
  • Communicate regularly with other Children’s Ministry staff members, families and volunteers, both in person, and through email or phone correspondence as appropriate.
  • A growing, vibrant relationship with God, seeking to grow in Christ-like character, and a teachable spirit.
  • Enjoys working with children, and a desire to see children grow in their relationships with Jesus.
  • Ability to coordinate teams of volunteers and collaborate with other staff members to plan, organize, and run events for children at Summit Drive Church.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • At least two years of experience working with children and planning special events.
