Under the supervision of the Pastor of Children’s Ministry, the Children’s Ministry Events Coordinator is responsible for the planning and running of Children’s Ministry events at Summit Drive Church.
Principal Function
- Plan and run Children’s Ministry special events (including VBS, Summer camps, Christmas concert, Easter Event, Church Camp, etc.).
- Recruit, develop, and lead volunteer teams to help with special events for children at Summit Drive Church.
- Communicate regularly with other Children’s Ministry staff members, families and volunteers, both in person, and through email or phone correspondence as appropriate.
Requirements
- A growing, vibrant relationship with God, seeking to grow in Christ-like character, and a teachable spirit.
- Enjoys working with children, and a desire to see children grow in their relationships with Jesus.
- Ability to coordinate teams of volunteers and collaborate with other staff members to plan, organize, and run events for children at Summit Drive Church.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- At least two years of experience working with children and planning special events.
